Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost television series. The couple had separated and she moved with her mom in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role, as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder set in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) along with her. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. The actress was as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The actress reprised her character in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character on Lost for two episodes. This included the final episode of the series. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth series of Californication. The character she plays is Faith she is the muse and fan of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was a teenager, she began to work in small roles for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko with her sister. The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance as a lead character in Secretary (2002), the erotic drama about romance and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films including World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child was nominated for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in dramas and comedies such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Her other roles included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018), and her role as the Kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal began her career as screenwriter and director in 2021, when she wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
